Sydney Chandler Confirms Alien: Earth Season 2 Begins Production in May

March 6, 2026
Alien: Earth Season 2 is scheduled to begin production in May 2026, shifting from Thailand to London's Pinewood Studios, as confirmed by star Sydney Chandler in an interview with Deadline. Pinewood Studios is the classic shooting location used for Alien, Alien 3, and Prometheus.

While production is imminent, Chandler has not yet seen the scripts for the new season. The FX series was created by Noah Hawley, with Dana Gonzales serving as an executive producer/director, who indicated that "world-building" is already underway. The show was renewed after a successful first season, with the story continuing the Xenomorph's arrival on Earth.

Couple things:The original Alien movie from 1979 was shot at Shepperton Studios. Aliens was shot at Pinewood. Sadly, these days it's a smart move to fact check Deadline. Every single word.

He won't add anything to the show, unfortunately. He plays the same role in everything he does nowadays.

I really enjoyed the first season and the way it left off I would have likely been quite displeased if they were not going to give us more seasons, it wasn't what I'd have asked for or thought for an Aliens franchise production, but it was a fresh take, I need more.

100% agree! I am enjoying this a lot!

Certainly enjoyed the first season, it was a different take than the typical Alien story, but we're invested in seeing where it's going.
