Wizards of the Coast has announced Dungeon Masters, a brand-new official Dungeons & Dragons actual-play series. The show features a star-studded cast including Baldur’s Gate 3 stars Neil Newbon (Astarion) and Devora Wilde (Lae’zel), and is set to premiere on April 22, at 6:30 p.m. PT on the official D&D YouTube channel.
The series is designed to be an anthology that showcases D&D content through cinematic storytelling and innovative visual aids like map graphics and ability pop-ups. The first arc takes place in the gothic horror setting of Ravenloft, inspired by the upcoming book Ravenloft: The Horrors Within, launching June 16.
Jasmine Bhullar (Dimension 20) serves as the Dungeon Master, leading Newbon and Wilde, along with fellow players Christian Navarro (13 Reasons Why) and Mayanna Berrin (The Dungeon Run). While Newbon and Wilde are veterans of the franchise, they will be playing entirely new characters rather than their Baldur's Gate 3 roles. Newbon is Professor Crem de la Crem, a Rock Gnome Reanimator Artificer. Wilde is playing as Zora Thornska, a Wood Elf Hexblood Shadow Sorcerer. Navarro is Eloin Emberleaf, a Wood Elf Winter Walker Ranger. And Berrin will portray Wesley, a Drow Grave Domain Cleric.
Following each episode, fans can download Play-Along Packs on D&D Beyond, which include monster stats, encounter guides, and maps from the show. The first pack is scheduled for release on April 23, the day after the two-episode premiere.
