Sharon and Jack Osbourne are actively in talks with an animation production company to develop a cartoon reboot of their pioneering MTV reality show, The Osbournes. The project aims to introduce the famous family's signature chaos to a brand-new generation while expanding their media footprint.
The announcement emerges as The Osbournes reality series approaches its 25th anniversary. According to Sharon, an animated format opens up massive opportunities for global storytelling, stating it allows the family to go "all over the world" in cartoon form.
The animated series is part of a larger, multi-pronged effort by Sharon and Jack to preserve and grow the family's media presence and "digital DNA". Other upcoming projects include a digital avatar of the late rock icon Ozzy Osbourne in development, designed with the capability to talk back and interact directly with fans. Additionally, the family is exploring an upcoming line of Ozzy-themed dog wear.
