Are we seeing another theatrical flop that will creep back to a cult classic title in the next 20 years for hardcore movie fans?
No big surprise that Bugs Bunny will be in this, since we saw Daffy would be, and seen references to Tweety, or that Foghorn is the antagonist. Surely WB will not restrict themselves from using their moneymaker. Especially since the main protagonist is a toon who cannot talk, and barely even makes sounds.

Seeing the trailer I can see why this was filed away in a room never to see the light of day again. A legal drama with live action humans where the main cartoon character never even talks, and the rest are not much but background dressing? Yeah, if the Space Jam sequel sunk, this will drop rock bottom.
There was like, a whole thing were a ton of people petitioned for this to get finished and released. So I imagine all of those people, or at least half of those people, will go out of their way to see it.
Otherwise though, I honestly agree with you. I never thought it sounded like a good idea. Even if it somehow manages to be a success via spite from the audience towards it almost being canned, that doesn't mean it won't be a critical failure, and that does matter in the long run
