Disney Entertainment Television Announces San Diego Comic-Con Lineup

Disney Entertainment Television will return to San Diego Comic-Con with a slate of panels, booth offerings and fan activations tied to several of its television properties, including Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Futurama, King of the Hill and The Simpsons.

The company’s presence will include an outdoor Percy Jackson and the Olympians activation in the Gaslamp Triangle. The experience will invite visitors to enter through Poseidon’s trident and choose from three paths inspired by Percy, Annabeth and Thalia. The activation is tied to the show’s upcoming third season, based on Rick Riordan’s The Titan’s Curse.

Hulu’s Animayhem activation will also take place in the Gaslamp Quarter along the MLK Promenade. The experience will feature themed food and beverages inspired by Futurama and King of the Hill. Visitors will also be able to explore interactive environments, search for Easter eggs and purchase exclusive merchandise. The Animayhem activation will be open Thursday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Inside the convention center, Disney Entertainment Television will also have merchandise and San Diego Comic-Con exclusives at booth No. 4229, with items tied to Bob’s Burgers, King of the Hill, Futurama, Family Guy and other titles.

The company’s panel schedule includes presentations for live-action and animated series across Disney+, Hulu, ABC and Fox.

On Thursday, July 23n The Hall H panel will include an exclusive first look at Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ third season. Scheduled participants include series stars Walker Scobell, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, Tamara Smart, Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie, along with executive producers Craig Silverstein and Dan Shotz. Juju Green will moderate the panel.

On Friday, July 24, in the Indigo Ballroom, members of the Adventure Time: Side Quests creative team and voice cast will discuss the animated series, which is produced by Cartoon Network Studios and streams on Hulu and Disney+ in the United States. Then King of the Hill co-creators and executive producers Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, showrunner and executive producer Saladin Patterson, and cast members Kathy Najimy, Stephen Root, Lauren Tom, Toby Huss and Ashley Gardner will discuss the show’s latest season on Hulu.

Saturday, July 25, Ballroom 20 will feature several exciting panels. Bob’s Burgers creator and executive producer Loren Bouchard, supervising director Bernard Derriman and cast members H. Jon Benjamin, John Roberts, Kristen Schaal, Eugene Mirman, Dan Mintz and Larry Murphy will discuss the series and preview upcoming storylines.

The Futurama panel will feature Matt Groening, head writer David X. Cohen, executive producers Claudia Katz and Ken Keeler, moderator Lee Supercinski and voice cast members Billy West, John DiMaggio, Lauren Tom, Phil LaMarr, David Herman and Maurice LaMarche. Groening will also be joined by writers, animators and special guests for a panel featuring an exclusive preview of a new Simpsons story.

American Dad! stars Scott Grimes and Dee Bradley Baker and writers Nic Wegener, Zack Rosenblatt and Parker Deay will preview upcoming episodes. And Family Guy cast members Alex Borstein, Seth Green, Arif Zahir and Jennifer Tilly will appear with animator Peter Shin and showrunner and executive producer Rich Appel for a panel that will include footage and series updates.

Also, on Saturday in the Indigo Ballroom, The Rookie creator and executive producer Alexi Hawley, executive producer and star Nathan Fillion, and cast members Melissa O’Neil, Richard T. Jones, Alyssa Diaz, Eric Winter, Mekia Cox, Shawn Ashmore, Jenna Dewan, Lisseth Chavez and Deric Augustine will discuss the show’s ninth season, streaming growth and online audience.
