Lionsgate have officially launched a worldwide casting search for the upcoming live-action adaptation of the smash-hit manga Naruto. The studio is currently seeking actors to portray the three main leads of Team 7: Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and Sakura Haruno.
Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Spider-Man: Brand New Day) is directing and producing through his company, Hisako. Original Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto is also closely involved in the project's development.
Casting for supporting characters is expected to follow at a later date once Team 7 is established.
