Sources have told Deadline that the late Sam Neill is set to appear in The Legend of Zelda, a live-action film by Nintendo and Sony inspired by the renowned video game. Neill passed away on July 13 at the age of 78.
Alongside Neill, Dichen Lachman and Yvonne Strahovski have also been confirmed for the film. Strahovski may portray a character that could be a queen. Lachman will take on the role of Impa, the bodyguard and advisor to the emerging Bo Bragason’s Princess Zelda.
Earlier in the day, it was
announced that Australian actor Uli Latukefu is set to portray the primary antagonist, Ganondorf. Latukefu will be joining Bo Bragason, who will take on the role of Zelda, and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, who will portray Link.
Cool, nice that Sam Neil will be in this, I'm still being reserved about this movie, it can go all kinds of ways, do I feel cautiously optimistic? yes, I just have a little feeliing it might not be good, I was still upset I was waiting for the casting call to play Zelda myself, but they never called, Imagine that?
