Gareth Edwards will not return to direct the next installment in the Jurassic World franchise (Jurassic World 5/the sequel to Jurassic World Rebirth) due to creative differences. Universal and Amblin are actively searching for a new director, with filming targeted to begin in 2027.
Screenwriter David Koepp penned the script, and main cast members Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey are expected to reprise their roles.
