Five Nights at Freddy’s to Open Real Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza in 2027

Five Nights at Freddy’s is bringing Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza to life. The video game franchise and New Jersey entertainment and retail complex American Dream will open a real-life Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza in East Rutherford, N.J., in 2027.

The immersive restaurant will be a functional re-creation of the franchise's infamous pizzeria. The experience is being developed in collaboration with ScottGames, the IP holder founded by creator Scott Cawthon. The franchise originated as a video game series before expanding into novels, comics and feature films, and follows characters attempting to survive attacks from murderous animatronic figures at locations tied to the fictional restaurant chain.

Designed as a quick-service dining destination, the venue will feature two animatronic stage shows: the Main Stage, starring Freddy and the Fazbear Band, and Pirate Cove, featuring Foxy the Pirate. In addition to dining, guests will be able to play arcade games, take in the animatronic performances and participate in multiplayer survival-horror gaming experiences.

The upcoming venue will join American Dream’s expanding lineup of entertainment attractions, which includes DreamWorks Water Park, Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park, Sesame Street Learn & Play, Legoland Discovery Center and Sea Life Aquarium.
