Jodie Foster and Walton Goggins Join Disney’s Hexed Voice Cast

Jodie Foster and Walton Goggins are joining the voice cast of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ upcoming animated feature Hexed, the studio announced Saturday at D23.

Foster, who began her career at Disney with Candleshoe and Freaky Friday, noted that Hexed marks her first time voicing a character in a Disney animated film. She will lend her voice to Queen Celeste, the movie’s principal villain, a powerful witch.

Goggins, meanwhile, is taking on a decidedly more feline role. “What kind of part would a guy like me play?” the Justified star joked to a packed Honda Center crowd. He voices Beef Roger, a three-eyed green cat in a pink coat who serves as a witch’s sidekick. The character eventually befriends the film’s young teenage protagonist, voiced by Hailee Steinfeld, who discovers she possesses magical powers.

The ensemble voice cast also includes Alan Tudyk, Rashida Jones, Stephen Fry, CeeLo Green and Tracey Ullman.

Hexed is set for Disney’s coveted Thanksgiving release window, arriving in theaters Wednesday, Nov. 25.
