Nicolas Cage Takes on Cannibals in Nuclear Wasteland Thriller Parish

Nicolas Cage is getting ready to fight for his life in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

The Oscar winner will headline Parish, an upcoming action thriller in which he plays a hardened survivor living three decades after a nuclear apocalypse. Cage’s character has spent years protecting his fortified compound with the help of highly trained attack dogs—and one simple rule: no one gets through the gate.

That rule changes when a desperate woman arrives carrying a baby.

Forced to choose between survival and compassion, Parish allows the strangers into his sanctuary. The decision soon turns his carefully protected refuge into a target for a savage group of cannibals.

With his compound surrounded and his past threatening to catch up with him, Parish must unleash everything he has to protect the last remnants of the life he built.

Concourse Media is taking the film to the international market with worldwide pre-sales launching ahead of TIFF. Production is expected to begin in Minnesota this October.

Adam Sigal is writing and directing the project. His credits include the Simon Pegg comedy-thriller Nandor Fodor and the Talking Mongoose, as well as producing the 2024 sci-fi film Slingshot, which starred Casey Affleck and Laurence Fishburne.

Veteran cinematographer David Tattersall is also joining the project. His résumé includes Star Wars: Episodes I, II & III, The Green Mile, Tomb Raider, and Con Air..

For Cage, Parish offers another chance to go full-throttle—this time against a gang of cannibal raiders in the ruins of a nuclear-ravaged world.
