Warner Bros. Unveils New Trailer for Animated The Cat in the Hat

Warner Bros. Pictures Animation has unveiled a new trailer for its upcoming animated adventure The Cat in the Hat, giving audiences another look at the mischievous feline ahead of the film’s theatrical and IMAX release on November 6.

Directed by Erica Rivinoja and Alessandro Carloni, who also co-wrote the screenplay, the film brings Dr. Seuss’ beloved character to the big screen with Bill Hader lending his voice to the iconic Cat. Animation is being handled by DNEG.

This time around, the Cat isn’t simply dropping by for some chaotic fun. He works for the Institute for the Institution of Imagination and Inspiration, an organization that sends him on missions to help children in need. His latest assignment takes him to two siblings, Gabby and Sebastian, who are struggling to adjust after moving to a new town.

As expected, the Cat’s unconventional approach quickly turns the situation upside down. But his penchant for taking things too far could have serious consequences: if he fails his mission, he could lose the magical hat that gives him his extraordinary abilities.

Hader leads an all-star voice cast that includes Matt Berry, Quinta Brunson, Xochitl Gomez, Giancarlo Esposito, America Ferrera, Tituss Burgess, Bowen Yang, Paula Pell and Tiago Martinez.

Daniela Mazzucato and Jared Stern are producing the film, with animation veteran Dan Molina serving as editor. Lorne Balfe is composing the score.
