Messi And The Giants Teaser Trailer Debuts at San Diego Comic-Con Málaga

The first teaser trailer for Messi and the Giants debuted at San Diego Comic-Con Málaga in Spain. Executive produced by soccer legend Lionel Messi, the animated kids' sports-fantasy series is officially scheduled to premiere globally on Disney+ and air on the Disney Channel in the U.S. in Summer 2027.

The show follows 12-year-old Leo, a boy who gets trapped in an alternate reality which is ruled by rogue giants. To find his way back home, Leo must compete in high-stakes, soccer-like battles using powerful "orbs" to defeat the giants and restore the fractured realms. Unlike the other players in this reality, Leo cannot use the world's built-in "code powers" to supercharge his abilities. Instead, he must rely purely on his real-world traits.

Argentinian actor Milo Burgess-Webb provides the voice for Leo.

The teaser highlights the series' official theme song, "Vamos, Vamos, Vamos," performed by the Argentinian artist Luck Ra.

The project is a major collaboration between Sony Pictures Television, Sony Music Vision, and Canary Islands-based Atlantis Animation.
