Shiranui Mai as well, which is why I passed

Yeah, I had the chance to play with that figure thanks to my friend, and while there were certain things to appreciate about it, overall it felt really disappointing to me, so I never went ahead with her. It's like they release early alpha prototypes when it comes to female figures...

That pretty much tracks with Storm's rep for being way more into producing male figures than female figures. The proof is in their output of course but i remember it brought up on a podcast where one of the members had some kind of association with someone from Storm and that was very much the case lol. Personally, i think they should maybe outsource some when it comes to female figure r&d.

I didn't know this about Storm (I don't buy from them) so I was very eagerly awaiting Shiranui Mai. Then when she was shown, I was blown away by how low detailed and poor the face was. I just assumed they were being slavishly true to an old video game. But no male has ever looked like they had a 90s video game face.

Tiny head Chun-Li looks like basically no effort was put into making her.

I will also say that Storm's style seems to be to overemphasize the low-detail, pixelated anime faces for its female figures (Morrigan, Chun-Li in particular, but they did this with Shiranui Mai as well, which is why I passed), but they don't do the same for their male counterparts.

Felicia getting a figure is awesome news for sure. Morrigan looks pretty good for a prototype, I'm definitely getting both of them. I'm still on the fence about this version of Chun-Li, though, and I'm really curious to see how R. Mika will turn out. While I'm generally happy with the lineup, looking at the male figures, it seems like Storm has put more extra effort into male figures compared to the female ones.

I have been waiting ages for a Felicia toy, but this looks like a statue, no articulation...

The final design will almost certainly be like all their other arena figures. She is supposed to fit with their Morrigan.
