Kaiyodo Revoltech Amazing Yamaguchi Harley Quinn (Suicide Squad Isekai) Review and Images

This week, we're having a look at the Revoltech Amazing Yamaguchi Suicide Squad Isekai Harley Quinn figure from Kaiyodo. Harley Quinn and Amazing Yamaguchi have been a good combo in the past, with their previous Harley Quinn figures being great (albeit all sharing the same mold), so a new one was very welcome. The Suicide Squad Isekai anime TV series was pretty insane (Amanda Waller dancing suggestively during the end credits is unfortunately burned in my brain now), so getting a figure from that show is also a nice thing. So, shall we kick it off?





Suicide Squad Isekai is an anime in which the Suicide Squad (with a roster similar to the movie, with Rick Flag leading a team with Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Peacemaker, King Shark, plus Clayface in a "Smooth Criminal" mode) end up in the classic anime trope that is "isekai", which is when a character gets transported to a kinda medieval fantasy place (or different universe/realm). The team is sent to some fantasy kingdom to try to fight with an hostile imperial army, which has been joined by previoulsy sent Suicide Squad team members. It's wacky and has great animation.










The Amazing Yamaguchi Harley Quinn figure from Suicide Squad Isekai looks like she was taken right out of the screen. She comes with 6 face plates, 7 pairs of hands, sunglasses, 2 different hair attachments (one to go with the glasses), her decorated baseball bat, a gun, and a stand. This figure has great articulations, not too elaborated with tons of cuts like the usual Revoltech/Amazing Yamaguchi offerings, but still enough to move really well. The various facial expressions are all very "Harley". A couple of medieval weapons would have also been nice, like an axe or a sword. It's another fantastic Harley Quinn figure. My only nitpick is the high heels, which I've never liked on action figures because they tend to be annoying to work with and give the figure challenging balance, but I could still get her in nice poses and she hasn't taken a dive off the shelf... yet.
