NECA Gargoyles Brooklyn and Broadway Ultimate Action Figures Review and Images

It's Wednesday, and you know what that means: ToyFarce review!

This week, we're having a look at Brooklyn and Broadway from the Gargoyles line from NECA. NECA is on the mind of a lot of collectors in the last few days, and they will have a special 3 day sale of their SDCC Exclusive figures on their online store later today, so I grabbed some NECA figures from the old backlog for this week. The Gargoyles line has to be one of my favorite lines these days, and those 2 new figures did not disappoint!

The packaging art is, as usual, gorgeous. Those are big boxes too!



Brooklyn, the impulsive, hot-headed member of the rookery trio (along with Broadway and Lexington), is a gorgeous figure. Back in the 90's, the Brooklyn figure from Kenner was the most disappointing one, as his head was too big, sitting too deep in his shoulders and he didn't look like he did in the show at all. NECA made him look way better! Brooklyn comes with an extra head, 2 extra sets of hands, a pair of sunglasses, a torn page from a book of spells, and a broadsword (the same one the 90s Kenner action figure came with, except this one is not just bright yellow plastic). His wings are thinner and different from the other figures, and the draped version will come with the Elisa Maza figure. The mouth is articulated on the 'normal' head. Great figure!




















Broadway, the food and cinema enthusiast of the rookery trio, also looks amazing. He comes with an extra head sculpt, 2 extra sets of hands, a bag of pop corn, a chicken leg (or turkey?), a vegetable (i think), and an axe and mace which can be assembled together, just like the old Kenner figure had. I love the little tributes to Kenner with the similar weapons! Both his head sculpts have captured the character perfectly. Also, he has a pretty crazy muscle definition for a big dude! His wing span is pretty huge, so here's hoping that we get draped version down the line too (so far, unannounced).
















The next few should be Angela and the Steel Clan robot gargoyle that seem to be starting to pop up in stores. Then, Elisa Maza and Xanatos should come next, before we finally get the third member of the rookery trio, Lexington.
