It's
Wednesday and you know what that means...
ToyFarce review!
This week, we're having a look at the latest
Magneto figure from
MAFEX. The previous one, based on
Age of Apocalypse, was a great figure, but if they're gonna go with the
Jim Lee design like they do with the Batman: Hush line, that one will definitely be a winner.
Best Magneto figure ever?

The
Master of Magnetism comes with
3 different heads (
2 with helmet and an unmasked one),
3 extra pairs of hands, his
helmet, and
6 'magnetic' effects (
3 pairs). The effects attach to the hands and stay put without a fight, but a couple of them (the '
longer' ones) tend to keep the hand stuck inside of them when removed, and it's a bit annoying to get out (
you may need pliers!).

This figure looks
uncanny, even
astonishing (
pun intended)! It's the perfect
Jim Lee Magneto, with
MAFEX level of articulations (
aka everything you dream of, minus the thigh swivel). The
cape is great too, with wires on the side, but also folded on the bottom, to have a '
smaller' cape, that you can unfold and have a gigantic one. It scales very nicely with
Marvel Legends figures and could be the perfect action figure version of Magneto for your collection (
even if Hasbro did announce a very nice one last week at SDCC for the X-Men 97 wave).
