The 58th edition of the
Super Bowl occured yesterday, as the
Kansas City Chiefs beat the
San Francisco 49ers. As is tradition, thousands of collectors who are
not necessarily into sports tagged along to watch the game with friends, but were more interested in the
ads,
movie trailers and
half time show. We sat down with a collector to hear his thoughts about the big game.
"
It was okay, I guess. There was a lot of sports between the ads and movie trailers, that's for sure. But we caught a glimpse of the new Deadpool movie, with Wolverine in it. Man, I can't wait for the Marvel Legends figures of that movie. Or even the S.H. Figuarts ones! We also saw trailers for the latest Planet of the Apes movie, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. I wish NECA or Hiya Toys were still making figures of those... I'd love a new Caesar! There was also Twisters, the sequel of Twister, kinda like Aliens was the sequel of Aliens... Do you think we'll see some sort of tornado queen in it?! A few more trailers (Wicked, If, Despicable Me 4, The Fall Guy...) and a lot of great commercials too! The Mountain Dew one was fun, and did you see Arnold reuniting with Danny Devito, like a good neighbaaah? That was awesome! Usher also had a great show!"
"Why do they keep showing sports between the commercials?"
"
I only wish there would be a few toy commercials here and there. Even to promote the movie we see the trailers of. At $7 million for 30 seconds, I'm sure toy brand can afford that!"
More news at 11:00... "
Oh yeah, there was some sports too!"
