Erwin Schrödinger is mostly famous for his quantum physics thought experiment, "
Schrödinger's cat", which states that if you put a cat in a box with a bit of poison (a tiny bit of radioactive substance), the cat is
both alive and dead until you open the box. You will only know then (
stay with me, that's it for the science part!).
ToyFarce found out recently that
Schrödinger was also a huge toy collector (
he was a big fan of Battle Cat...), and came up with another less famous experiment: "
Schrödinger's toy".
"
When your action figure is still mint in sealed box (MISB), it is impossible to know if your figure has QC issues or not. As long as the box is closed, the action figure both HAS and DOES NOT HAVE issues. There is no way to know until the box is opened. Therefore, the action figure is both in perfect condition AND has a loose hip, leg or arm. It might even have all of its parts fall off immediately, but we will only know once the box is open."
The theory is valid for all toys, although some brands have been known to have more issues than others in that department...
What other
scientific experiments and
theories can be applied to
toys? Let us know in the comments!

Rumor has it the original title of the theory was "Schrödinger's Battle Cat"...
