In a bold and desperate move, collectors across the globe have united to ask toy companies to please skip San Diego Comic-Con 2026 entirely, so their wallets and PayPal Credit accounts can recover from this year's onslaught of reveals, exclusives, and pre-orders. The 2025 convention was an absolute avalanche of temptation. With every brand dropping waves of figures reveals, deluxe box sets, exclusives that sell out in seconds, and teaser images of toys not even scheduled to ship until 2031, collectors found themselves in a spiral of budgeting spreadsheets, list prioritization, and internal debates like "Do I really need to eat lunch every day?"

Many report symptoms of "Post-SDCC Financial Shock Syndrome" - or PSDCCFSS - which include:
- Extreme hesitancy to open email newsletters
