ToyFarce News: Walmart Collector Con Returns March 19-20, Immediately Followed by Walmart Cancel Con!

Collectors are once again preparing their credit cards, refresh buttons, and fragile emotional stability as Walmart gets ready to host its annual Collector Con event on March 19–20. The two-day celebration promises exclusive figures, limited pre-orders, and the thrill of securing that one item that will absolutely, definitely ship without any issues, right? Right? ToyFarce investigated...

Seasoned collectors know that Collector Con is only the opening act. Shortly after the event concludes, Walmart is widely expected to launch its equally famous follow-up event: Cancel Con, the annual tradition where previously secured orders mysteriously vanish from customer accounts without warning.

"Collector Con is always exciting..." said toy collector Mark, while adding multiple exclusives to his cart. "But the real adrenaline rush comes a few days later when you wake up to an email that says your order has been cancelled due to 'unexpected inventory issues'. That's when the event really begins!"

Unlike Collector Con, which requires quick reflexes and stable internet, Cancel Con requires nothing more than patience and the emotional resilience to read the phrase "We're sorry, your preorder was canceled".

Veteran collectors say the experience has become such a staple of the hobby that many now treat the two events as a single extended convention: "It's basically a two-phase event" explained another longtime collector. "Phase one is pre-ordering everything in a panic. Phase two is watching half of those orders get cancelled while you try to remember which ones you actually managed to keep."

Some collectors have even begun preparing in advance by practicing their reactions, including refreshing their order history every ten minutes, staring blankly at cancellation emails, and posting screenshots on social media accompanied by the traditional caption: "Anyone else get this?"

At press time, Walmart had not officially confirmed Cancel Con, but sources say collectors should expect the event to begin approximately 3–5 business days after Collector Con, or immediately after collectors start feeling confident that their orders are safe.

More news at 11:00... "What do you mean 'We had to cancel your preorder because the item was unavailable'? You let me order it!!"

Could Walmart's cancel culture be a massive intervention for collectors everywhere as the never-ending march of pre-orders takes its toll on their personal lives and finances? Yeah right! This was meant to test the resolve of those who call themselves true collectors to see if they are truly worthy of the title...

See you at the yard sale in 15 years!

Oh the bittersweet endurance one might get from this overwhelming season. Ladies and Gents, here comes the Uncanny UnCon - where anything and it's direct opposite can happen.
