Hasbro's
Marvel Legends team sent shockwaves through the collectible community this week after posting a cryptic teaser image that many experts are now confidently (
and incorrectly) identifying as
the first-ever collaboration between Marvel Legends and Cheetos.
ToyFarce investigated...
"
I mean... look at it!" said one collector, zooming in 400% on the image. "
That's not sand. That's Cheeto dust. I've seen that exact texture on my fingers since 2003!" The image, which shows what appears to be
Jeff the Land Shark's fin emerging from a surface covered in
bright orange powder, has led collectors to one obvious conclusion: A
Cheetos collab is on the way.
While some so-called "
reasonable" fans have suggested the teaser may actually just reference
Jeff the Land Shark from
Marvel Rivals, the majority of the community has chosen to ignore that entirely in favor of the far more exciting possibility of
cheese-based snacks with action figures.
According to completely unverified leaks
that are definitely not just made up, the upcoming wave will most likely feature, allegedly:
- A Flamin' Hot Spider-Man, with "heat damage" cheeto dust sculpted directly onto the suit
- A Cheese-Dusted Wolverine, which comes pre-stained and impossible to clean
- A bright Orange Hulk, with Cheeto dust textured flocked skin
Collectors are already expressing concern about the long-term preservation of these figures: "
I keep my collection in mint condition" said another fan while nervously wiping their hands on their pants. "
If these come pre-dusted, does that mean I have to open them? What if the dust spreads? What if it's... permanent?"
Hasbro has not officially confirmed the collaboration, but insiders report that the company is excited to explore new textures, and that future figures may include additional snack-based finishes such as "
Cool Ranch residue" and "
mysterious sticky texture".
At press time, several collectors reportedly tried
licking the teaser image on their phone screens just to be sure.
