Shown below are in-hand images for the new
Fanhome Star Trek Starships Die Cast U.S.S. Titan NCC-80102-A based on Picard Season 3. This vehicle is the first in Fanhome's new Star Trek line and was first offered to people who attended last weekends New York Comic Con. The vehicle is available for purchase on their
website for $44.95.
This new line seems to be a continuation of the one previously offered by Eaglemoss. I've never owned an Eaglemoss Star Trek ship but the die cast on this new vehicle seems to be focused on the saucer section. The Titan is just over 8 1/2" long. The width at the saucer is just under 4" wide and the height on the base is around 3" tall at it's highest point. The vehicle fits at a slant on the base. Depending how you attach the base you can have the ship tilt up or down.
I believe the vehicle stand is the same type used with the Eaglemoss vehicles but I will say this is my least favorite things about it. If you pick up the ship on the base it seems to have a tendency of falling out of the base. Granted just sitting on a shelf it shouldn't be a problem.
The details on the ship are nice and are said to be based on original VFX files. There is light pipping used on the nacelles but their are no electronics used on these. The vehicle was packaged nicely so I don't think you will have to worry about damage during shipping.
The scale on their various Star Trek ships vary and the vehicles are not meant to be in scale with one another. You can see other vehicles they had on display at
New York Comic Con here. You can see from those images they will be doing a Enterprise NCC-1701-G which is bigger than this Titan vehicle. That is somewhat notable since the Enterprise G as we saw in Picard season 3 is just the Titan A that was renamed to Enterprise.
Also at least for now Fanhome will be focusing on newer vehicles from the newer Star Trek shows. I would say this is because Eaglemoss already did the more classic Star Trek vehicles.
