Gong Studio Batman: Hush - Batman 1/12 Scale Figure Review and Images

This week, we're having a look at the Batman: Hush - Batman figure from Gong Studio and Pop Mart! What a figure! This will definitely replace the MAFEX Batman as the ultimate plastic (and soft goods) representation of that version of the Caped Crusader. A fantastic figure from a relatively new company on the 1/12 market, that had already made a splash with their Zootopia, It Takes Two and DC Comics Kingdom Come figures. Gong Studio and Pop Mart definitely have my attention now!

The packaging is rather sober, no window on the front, BUT... there is a small window on the back so you can see the top of the figure. Fun!






This Batman: Hush - Batman figure comes with 3 heads (normal, groaning and unmasked), a cowl for the unmasked head, 4 pairs of hands + one with the grapple gun, 2 effects for the grapple gun (loaded and extended), 3 batarangs and a bandage effect for the masked heads, to look like one of the comic book covers. The figure is wearing a soft goods suit with a great wired cape, that feels and looks really nice.
















That Batman figure is fantastic, looks like it came right out of the comic, and has great articulations (thigh cuts, double elbows, double knees, the whole shebang). The cape is not as daunting as the one on the MAFEX figure, which was way too big. It is now my favorite Batman figure, and I have dozens of Batman figures, from dozens of brands. Of course, I have a few nitpicks: the thigh cuts don't look amazing through the suit, the belt does not stay in place, and the material used for the suit has rather large lines and seams, so it does still look like an action figure rather than 'real' when you look at it closely. But when you have it in hand, it's a glorious Batman figure.

Gong Studio and Pop Mart announced a Batman:Hush - Superman a few days ago, and since the MAFEX Superman was one of my favorite Superman figures, I am now looking forward to this one.
