BigBadWorkShop Longbox Heroes Prestige The Tick, SDCC 2025 Vacation Tick and SDCC 2026 Radioactive Tick Review and Images

This week, we're having a look at the Longbox Heroes Prestige The Tick figure, along with the SDCC 2025 Exclusive Vacation Tick and the SDCC 2026 Exclusive Radioactive Tick from BigBadWorkShop! It had been a while since the last Tick figure, and oh boy, was it worth the wait! This new Tick figure will be hard to beat, and we even got extras with the SDCC exclusive ones! BigBadWorkShop did a fantastic job with that figure, and after seeing the rest of the line at SDCC this year, I can only scream 'SPOON!' in excitement!

The Tick is a comic book from 1986 by Ben Edlund, which evolved into a loving parody of traditional superhero tropes. I remember loving the animated series in the 90's, and I had a bunch of the action figures and mini PVC figures from Bandai back then. There has also been 2 TV shows (One with Patrick Warburton in the lead role in 2001 and one with Peter Serafinowicz in the lead role from 2016). Dan Larson (Secret Galaxy) did a great video on the history of the Tick recently, which I recommend! BigBadWorkShop, BigBadToyStore's very own brand, gave an upgrade to their Longbox Heroes line, with a Prestige line of hightly articulated action figures, and the Tick was the first offering.

The Tick comes with 3 heads, 2 pairs of hands, a necktie, a 'crimefinder' (viewmaster/binocular) and a stand. The figure was sculpted by the super talented Tristan Miller (check out his instagram page @theglowingghost, where he posts amazing renders of figures we'd love to have, including brilliant packaging mockups). It's a great Tick figure, with great articulations. I love the matte finish on it as well. It's going to be hard to beat that one, it's essentially the ultimate Tick figure.


















Vacation Tick was the SDCC 2025 Exclusive, available for pre-order during that time last year. He comes with 2 heads, 2 pair of hands plus a "hang loose" one, soft goods shorts, a surf board, a beach towel, a beach ball and a stand. The surf board and the beach towel are themed after his battle cry "SPOON!", and have spoons all over them. The smiling head has sunglasses attached to it. It's essentially the same body as the basic one with different accessories and head, making it a fun exclusive.


















Radioactive Tick was this year's SDCC Exclusive, which was available for purchase at the convention (which was funny, in the sense that the second exclusive was already available, while the basic figure and previous year exclusive one were still not out yet at the time, similar to the SDCC exclusive Invincible figure from Jada Toys being out before the first wave, but I digress...). I had the 'Mucus Tick' when I was a kid and I *LOVED* that figure. Something about the translucent green, it had a soft plastic container in its back and you could squirt water with it... I remember loving to just hold that figure. When the Radioactive Tick was announced, it was a no-brainer (Fun fact, it was even the first thing I picked at the convention). Radioactive Tick comes with 3 heads, 2 pairs of hands, a radioactive canister (designed by Gridiron studios!), a container of actual green slime and a translucent green stand. Well, I love that figure as well! The beautiful translucent green color makes you think it will taste like green apple candy (Note: it does not). The paint on the 3 heads glows in the dark. The radioactive cannister looks a bit familiar if you're into action movies that happen in Alcatraz directed by Michael Bay (wink nudge). A great accessory that will definitely have more uses! The slime is also very slimy. I wanted to pour it all over the figure, but I already had trouble cleaning it out of my hands so I decided not to... Still, this figure is one of my favorite pick ups from this year.
