Some Retro characters are not repaints. Like Duke, Cobra Commander, and Scarlett for example. The Jinx we almost certainly are getting can't really be a repaint because her costume is so different. But I'm not sure a character has started in the retro line yet.
I'm holding out hope that they will give us a V1/ARAH Baroness through the retro card line. The original retro Baroness is a very lazy repaint of the Blackout figure and she doesn't even have double jointed elbows.

I do rather wonder about some driver characters like the Strato-Viper that are intrinsically tied to their vehicle but there's no way they're ever going to be able to do those vehicles in Classified scale. I can see them leaning more toward the new DIRE and cyber characters for the mainline rather than us getting single boxed WORMS or Tollbooth. For that matter, we're pretty darn light on pilots at all - no Ace, no Slipstream. I imagine they'd be holding them for a Skystriker HasLab, but I can't fathom how much that would cost in the current economy...

Oh yeah I totally forgot that the Retro carded figures have all been re-paints or variants of pre-exisiting figures, and not new characters, I mean hey they can break that routine, or maybe if it's a whole 40th Movie Anni program we can at least get some of those other characters not via retro card back.

With the 40th anniversary of the movie coming next year, and BMac saying all the retro card figures are movie related, Serpentor is a strong possibility.

Given we've seen HasLab figures released that way and that they're doing G.I. Joe The Movie stuff next year, I would not be surprised to see a Retro Serpentor and Jinx during 2027. IG Destro, not so much given that he just came out and the 'retro' version wouldn't be much different.
I want them to do some classically styled Iron Grenadiers in the Retro line given that the mainline ones veered off the classic design and more toward the Joe Con style so much...

Why Oh Why can't we get a Retro Serpentor , after all this time that figure is still insanely rough to get and commands some high prices, I'd have thought at this point we'd have a second shot at it, it came out more then 3 years ago, I don't want a chariot, so Ideally a Retro carded figure! pleaseeee
