I mean... I get it as a concept and I'm sure it's faithful to the source material... but they couldn't have even given him a slightly different looking head so he didn't look like Faker got a new wardrobe?

It's a new version called He-Skeletor. Its from the Multiverse Comic, where Keldor doesn't become evil and becomes He-Man. Just came out from Mattel Creations.
