Package Description
Experience the denizens of Gotham City in all their heroic or hideous glory with Movie Masters figures. These highly detailed figures give you an up-close-and-personal look at the freakish make-up of the Joker and his Gotham City Thug and Batman’s suit, all from The Dark Knight movie.
Appearance
Like Batman, Joker has a new sculpt. Joker’s sculpt resembles more the shape and style of DCSH figures that have already come out in suits. There’s not a lot of detail on Joker compared to Batman. There are some wrinkles in the clothes, and the tie and collar is sculpted in. But there are large flat areas of purple on the jacket that lack the texture of the Batman figure. The face sculpt, which is excellent, is the only real splash of color on the figure. It looks as if he’s holding his head forward though, which is a little odd.
The proportions and detail all look about right on this figure. He’s got a plastic look because of all the large areas of unbroken purple. He captures the look and feel of the Joker pretty well. The suit hides all the joints well. I wish he had been smiling though, it just doesn’t quite seem like the Joker when he’s not smiling. He fits in stylistically with DCUC figures better than Batman, but again has size issues. He’s a little shorter than the typical DCUC figure, and not overly muscled. Overall he doesn’t cut it for me as a comic Joker, but as a movie Joker he is superb.
Articulation
Joker has articulation that is standard for DCUC figures. He has pin jointed elbows, knees and ankles. He has the DCUC style hip and swivel wrists. There is no ab crunch. The head doesn’t look up. The range of motion is generally what you would expect from a DCUC figure except for the limited range of motion in the head.
Poseability
Joker doesn’t do well with action poses. The lack of an ab crunch and range of motion in the head make that difficult. He looks good standing next to the movie masters batman, but I don’t like the style difference with DCUC and ML figures. He has a little bit of a balance problem, but it’s not bad. Overall, he needs Batman to be on display with unless you’re a big Joker fan and like him just the way he is.
Final Judgment: 6
Joker has a great looking sculpt, but next to Batman he lacks detail. The difficulty of integrating him with an established collection hurts his score more than Batman since his sculpt isn’t as original or unique. The figure just doesn’t feel like as much work went into it as Batman, and so the score is a little lower. Overall, a great figure to have for Batman movie fans. Comic fans can probably do without this figure.

I really like the Batman. However I do wish he came with a cloth cape. I just think he could have more dynamic poses by not having a molded static cape. What I did with mine to give it a little something extra was that I put a coat of gloss clear over the Bat-symbol, now it really stands out and gives the figure a awesome look.
lets see it!
Indeed, let's see it!

ok just got back from walmart, and saw all the MM TDK figs (except the chase), if i should have to chose one which one should i get?, which is the rarest of the bunch(besides chase)?, which one is just the overall coolest?, and does anyone know the line up for the next series?
they have some sdcc variants. a lighter purple joker, a black suit goon, and a black and grey bats. its rumored that the next wave will include: batman begins bats(may be an unmasked chase or the bat monster face), scarecrow, and dukard. i want them for collection purpose, but im not really excited about them. theyre a nice way to round out the bat-movie series.
