Package Description
To escape the memories of a family altercation that left his father paralyzed and his brother dead, Floyd Lawton moved to Gotham City where he began his career as a criminal. In the process he himself to become a highly skilled marksman and adopted the name Deadshot. During one of his many stays in prison, Lawton was offered amnesty for past offenses if he would accept a potentially fatal mission on behalf of the U.S. Government as a member of the Suicide Squad. Since then, Lawton has worked both on his own as a criminal, and occasionally as a member of the squad.
Appearance 9/10
Deadshot’s sculpt uses modified versions of previous figures, combined with a new metallic color scheme to produce a new distinctive looking figure. The mixing of grey and silver on the figure is a little odd, but easily overlooked in the many texture changes on the figure. The color choices match the comic appearance well. The deep red in particular is a good choice as it balances nicely the silver and grey tones. In general Deadshot matches his comic appearance extraordinarily well, and is one of the better looking villains in the line.
Proportions on the figure are good, although he’s a little bigger than I would expect him to be. The paint application is above average. All the transitions are clean and consistent, and the black wash on the red areas is also nicely done. Overall, Deadshot is an excellent looking figures. I’ve never been a big fan of the costume, but the execution of this figure is one of the best of the line, and perhaps the best villain.
Articulation 9/10
Deadshot has standard DCUC articulation, but with added improvement in the hips so that his feet can actually touch each other. The head doesn’t look up or down at all for some reason. All other joints get their full range of motion. The joints are nice and tight, and the balance is good.
Poseability 8/10
Deadshot has some nice action poses with his wrist mounted weapons. Stylistically I don’t like how he looks posed with some of the DCUC Batmans, but he goes well with the DCSH black and grey Batman or with other villains. Overall poseability is probably average for the line. While his appearance may be great, it doesn’t really accentuate any of his poses, and so he relies heavily on the articulation to look good.
Final Judgment: 26/30
Deadshot is one of the standout villains in the line. The execution of the figure is superb and unique. Deadshot is well worth a buy for the casual or dedicated collector of the line.

Well that sux. I'd much rather have that version than a blue WC.
I agree, that it would have been nice if they added the yellow triangle on his torso, but not a fan of that gold.
I disagree, I like the purple Wildcat much more than the black version.

that would have been cool to have the guardian from the seven soldiers storyline as a variant.

hrm maybe that was the modern version I was looking at I got to say I think I like the modern version a bit better too if just because its slightly more color to it

Nice reviews. I still think I would have prefered the Modern Guardian look. This one is just too bland imo
