Agreed, they look fantastic especially for what they are. A promising sign as to what the collector wave will be!

In no universe do these look better than McFarlanes lol Thats just ridiculous. That said, they arent trying to and two of them look great for what they are - the Joker and Robin look horrible though.

The only thing keeping them from true collector status is the lack of ankle articulation.

The body sculpting is impressive, and the detail is almost unnecessarily high for a kids' toy line, the head sculpt paint job is overkill for what this is.

What's surprising is that while the new He-Man figures lack thigh cuts and rely mostly on ball joints for movement, Mattel actually included thigh cut articulation here.

This seems odd, especially since they could have given these core DC figures even the simplest ankle articulation instead.

It's hard to say for sure, maybe Mattel plans to reuse these exact Batman and Robin legs with brand new boots that have an actual articulation and this line is not just kids line but actually more budget line that is interchangeable with upcoming collector line.

These look HORRIBLE. Ive seen better quality out of McDonald's happy meal toys. These are literally cheap junk. And you think these will be a good replacement for McFarlane? Barf

Never cared for McFarlane's work on the DC line. Lazy, overused, weak articulation, seriously over priced....I could go on. Further, I've been openly hoping for years that someone else take over the DC license. Having said that, to claim in this video that these are "mcfarlane killers" is just plainly silly, since we all know Mattel has been on track to gain the IP for quite some time, it was already in the works. Trying to take credit for something that was already done is just clickbait pap.

Suffice it to say that these figures look good, especially for the price, and hopefully the collector line will knock things out of the park.
