Paramount Pictures has come down to whom they have decided they want to direct G.I. Joe 2, the sequel to G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and they have choosen Jon M. Chu.
Chu was in line with Gary Gray and new-comer Jaume Collet-Serra but it is believed that Paramount Pictures went with Chu because Chu just made a lot of money for the studio with his direction of "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never."
With Chu helming the project and Lorenzo di Bonaventura producing. The studio just has to figure out which cast members are returning. The studio will start with Channing Tatum, and work out a deal for him to reprise as production is set to begin in the Fall.
