Hellraiser Series I Sells Out

NECA is proud to announce the complete sell out of the Reel Toys Hellraiser Series I line. The reports are in after 3 weeks of hitting store shelves that Hellraiser is the #1 selling item at several major mall retailers as well as the #1 item on Entertainment Earth along with a number of other toy e-tailers.

Part of the success of the line is due to the way the case assortments are packed out. This broke down to 14 figures per case, 2 complete sets and 2 extra Pinheads. This gave the retailers the opportunity to sell through cases without being stuck with an odd amount of figures.

Randy Falk-Director of Product Development said “We wanted to do everything we could to insure that the fans and collectors would be able to find the figures they are looking for. That is why we packed our figures 14 per case instead of 12. It's obvious that everyone, even the casual fan, will want Pinhead so we needed more of him. We wanted to pack 2 each of the regular Cenobites and 4 Pinheads. It is a very fair mix so there is 2 complete sets in each case plus 2 extra Pinheads. The reports we are getting from retailers and fans is very positive to our case mix.”

The sheer magnitude of the response that we have received has exceeded our expectations, there will be no more figures made of Series I so we can begin to gear up for Series II.

Series II will ship in October 2003. And if you thought the “Lament Configuration” (Puzzle Box) was a cool accessory and incentive to collect all 6 figures, just wait to see what comes with Series II.
