Cameron Cuffe Tapped As 'Seg-El' In Syfy's Krypton

by Outsiders
October 03, 2016
Cameron Cuffe has landed the lead role of the Man of Steel’s granddad Seg-El in Syfy's Krypton. Cuffe's character is scion of the once prosperous El family who is blessed with an intuitive brilliance for all things technical; he is now living in Krypton’s lowest caste after his family was stripped of its rank.

Cuffe's character, Seg-El will have a star-crossed romance with a member of General Zod sinister clan, played by Georgina Campbell.

The character of Seg-El made his debut in the comic classic Starman No. 51 as he and son Jor-El (Superman’s father) helped Starman get away while other Kryptonians wanted to detain – and dissect – the Earthling. The comic was written by James Robinson with story by Robinson and David S. Goyer, who is executive producer/writer of Krypton.
