Countdown To Star Trek: Nemesis

by Jay Cochran
December 08, 2002
With only days away till the debut of the 10th Star Trek major motion picture "Nemesis", we will be posting stories pertaining to Trek each day counting down to the premiere this Friday December 13, 2002.

To start things off we thought we would allow our friends Captain Archer and Lt. Malcom Reed from the latest Trek TV series Enterprise show off the second Deluxe Broken Bow action-figure set from Art Asylum. The set is of Malcom's tactical system console from the NX-01. As you will see this base will connect with the first Deluxe base that was released, Archer's Captain's chair. Following Malcom's tactical station will be deluxe sets of Sub-Commander T'Pol's science staion which is due to ship very soon and Ensign Mayweather's helm console. All 4 sets will connect to form the bridge of the NX-01.

Each base is very detailed and has authentic electronic sounds from the TV series. So without further ado Archer and Malcom present to you a detailed look at the 2nd Broken Bow Deluxe Enterprise NX-01 Bridge Base from Art Ayslum, which is on shelves now.

Oh it should be noted that the Malcome Reed figure is included with the tacticle staion base and Captain Archer is included with the Captain's chair base.

We join our friends on board the NX-01. Captain Archer is completing his daily log when Lt Malcom asks for some help putting his new tactical station together.

Archer, who is always willing to help, agree's.

The two decide it's best to start with the chair. Malcome thinks to himself, "why don't these things have seat belts?".

Malcome then tests the seat out to make sure it fits just right. After that the Captain decides to take a break while Malcome goes and gets the next piece.

Thats all right Captain give that chair a test spin.

Ok Captain it's time to get back to work.

As the Captain and Malcome are lifting the heavy console into place, Archer thinks to himself. "How come I don't get to have big strong Klingons or super-strong androids on my crew to do all this heavy work?"

Well thats it, all the work is done. See what you can do when you use team work boys and girls. Malcome checks to make sure everything is in working order and the Captain returns to his chair.

As archer sits back down he thinks, "Damn all we need now is a viewscreen", when all of a sudden two intruders beam on to the Bridge.

Acting quickly Malcome draws his phaser pistol.

A ferice battle ensues but Archer and Malcome are no match for these futureistic invaders.

Well you know I guess it's only fitting. This is a countdown to the upcoming Nemesis movie so what better way to end this segment, but with the stars of that movie Captain Picard and Lt. Commander Data. (These two figures are part of Art Asylum's new Nemesis line, also available now.)
