Medicom Spawn Update From McFarlane Toys

by Outsiders
July 08, 2006
In another follow up to our story from last week, McFarlane Toys is joining forces with Japanese toy powerhouse Medicom to create an array of Spawn-related action figure products for Fall 2006. Using a variety of unique designs that have become fan-favorites to collectors of all types, Medicom has taken Spawn and a handful of characters from the Spawn universe and given them life in a number of interesting collectible categories.

This 12-inch tall, highly articulated Spawn action figure is complete with a fabric costume and cape.

This large-scale figure showcases Todd McFarlane's Spawn in the unique "super deformed" style Medicom's vinyl collector dolls (or VCDs) are known for.

The collection of Spawn Kubricks will be based on character designs from the very first series of Spawn action figures (along with the Redeemer, which first appeared in Spawn Series 3).

Each figure will be released in two separate versions (as shown), representing the various styles available upon their original McFarlane Toys action figure release more than 10 years ago.

More information on these and other Spawn-inspired Medicom products is to come, including specific information regarding release dates and availability.

Prototypes of these new figures will be on display at San Diego Comic-Con, in both the McFarlane Toys and Medicom booths.
