Proud Participant in the 2003 Today Show Toy Drive

Elkridge, MD (December 11, 2003) – Time to set those alarm clocks again! One week from today, Palisades' President & CEO Michael Horn will be appearing on NBC’s TODAY Show. For the second year in a row, Horn has been invited to appear on the show due to Palisades’ contribution to the 10th Annual TODAY Show Toy Drive.

In 2002, the TODAY Show Toy Drive over 200 organizations contributed more than $16 million in product and financial aid, which served to help make the holiday season a little bit brighter for more than 600,000 children in need. “It’s just an honor to be in such company,” Horn commented, “It feels good to be in a position where I am able to give a little bit back to the community, which has supported us for so long.”

PALISADES HONORS BUSINESS PARTNERS


Palisades Toys proudly announces the winners of its first annual “Partnership Awards”

Elkridge, MD (December 11, 2003) – For the first time in its nearly ten-year history, Palisades Toys is implementing a program to honor those business partners who go “above and beyond” the call of duty. Dubbed the “Palisades Partnership Awards,” there are three separate categories into which these partners fall:

• Licensor Partner of the Year
• Retail or Distribution Partner of the Year
• International Partner of the Year

The 2003 inaugural winners are:

• Retail Partner of the Year – Musicland Group, Inc.
“Musicland has always been a good customer for Palisades, from day one,” says Palisades President & CEO Michael Horn, “But this year, they have really emerged as an invaluable partner.”

Adds Executive Vice President Michael Renegar, “Their support across the board, and especially on the Muppet line, has been overwhelming. No one is more deserving of this award than [Musicland].”

• Licensor Partner of the Year – The Jim Henson Company
“In my ten years in this business, I have never met a more supportive, friendly group of people to work with than the people at the Jim Henson Company,” says Horn.

” When I have to work with [the people at Henson],” says Director of Product Development, Ken Lilly, “I know I am going to get the answers and support that I need. They’re a huge part of the reason that the product looks as good as it does.”

• International Partner of the Year – Gear for Games (United Kingdom) and Blister Direct (Japan) “For the international award, we had a hard time deciding who was most deserving,” says Horn, “And in the end, it came down to these two. Gear for Games has been a valuable Palisades distributor since day one, and Blister is a new customer, who has quickly emerged into a major player.”

Adds Sales Manager John McGonigle, "Both Gear for Games and Blister have helped Palisades create a Win:Win partnership that not only spans the Globe, but a partnership that benefits everyone--most of all, our customers."

Each of the four 2003 “Partnership Award” recipients will receive and engraved plaque, along with a letter of gratitude from Michael Horn.
