Starting this summer at Wizard World LA, convention-goers will have the first and best chance to get their hands on the latest HeroClix colossal figure: Fin Fang Foom, one of Jack Kirby’s greatest monster creations. No place on the battlefield will be safe when Foom strikes!
Once believed to be an ancient Chinese dragon, Lord Foom was awakened from his centuries-long slumber several times to ravage the land before it was revealed that he was actually part of a group of dragon-like alien conquerors. In the modern age, Foom has faced heroes ranging from the Fantastic Four to Iron Man, tearing apart the earth in their struggles.
Fin Fang Foom will do the same in your HeroClix battles. A formidable figure with three dials (nearly 50 slots!) full of powers and combat values that will make him a challenge to even the strongest forces of HeroClix characters, he’s also equipped with his unique Rampage Dial, which grants him the ability to reshape the battlefield. As Foom attacks and is attacked, new terrain will erupt from the ground, existing terrain will be shattered, and mighty quakes will send terrain moving across the battlefield—sweeping heroes along with it!
“He Whose Limbs Shatter Mountains and Whose Back Scrapes the Sun” is Foom’s name in his native tongue, and it is no exaggeration. Foom is so powerful that the Midgard Serpent chose to imitate Foom when entering into battle against the Mighty Thor. Thor claims to have killed Foom at some point, but he has since reappeared, and now HeroClix players will have the opportunity to get both Foom and the Mighty Thor at this summer’s conventions to settle the battle once and for all. If Fin Fang Foom proves too much for even the thunder god, the Thundering Blow feat card that comes with Mighty Thor will be the perfect aid to heroes he recruits to his side.
As was foretold on the cover of Fin Fang Foom’s first appearance in Strange Tales #89, this summer HeroClix players just may find Foom to be “THE MOST FEARFUL MENACE OF THEM ALL!”
