Ah man, those bring back some memories. Sadly, mine are all gone. I only kept some static figures of Frieza and Cell, always had a preference for the villains.

Those are cool... I dont think I ever saw any static figures like those, back in the day. I do remember having a Frieza in the same line as the figuresI showed in the picture. As well as a regular Gi donning Goku. I find myself really wishing that I hadnt gotten rid of those, at times. Just because the nostalgia for them ramps up for me, every now and again.

A lot of the figures I had amassed back then suffered through a couple such purges, as I took to calling them. Although, I wasnt nearly as entrepreneurial as my contemporaries, so they mostly went to Goodwill, and such places. But, the figures that survived were the ones I liked the most, aesthetically, since I was never fully able to dig into the majority ofDBZ.

These are the ones I still have:

I was pretty big in the DBZ game when there was only the imported boxed PVCBandai figures, the ones that were released in volumes and only had two points of articulation. I practically had every figure in that series except for a few in the DB GT waves. I also had a ton of the Irwin Toys and Jakks Pacific figures. Those were awesome, both companies showed a lot of love for the series.

Unfortunately, I decided to reduce my overall collection to make it more manageable, DBZ got the cut. Sold the entire Dragon Ball collection to a local comic shop. Sad to see them go, but it did give me a decent amount of cash for a family vacation.

This is a pretty badass photo... Kind of makes me wish I had been collecting DBZ figures, all along. I only currently own a small handful of the ones that came out in the late 90s, early 2000s.

This was a smart move by Demoniacal. By focusing on characters Tamashi will overlook, theyre avoiding competition with a superior brand. Completists will likelypick these guys up due to the similar scale. Demoniacal is simply fulfilling the demand.

Added bonus, the Frieza Force provides many options for them to choose from.

Agreed

Well consider all of Demonical Fits release have been add on parts for Figuarts and they are sold in Figuarts styled boxes I'd say no.

I think all that means is that they made these with the intent to sell them to people who collect the SH Figuarts but I think aesthetically they fit better with the Figure Rise which also more or less can fit into SH Figuarts.

I wonder if they are actually supposed to fit in more with the Figure Rise line, their joints and plastic quality and scale seem more around that aesthetic than SH Figuarts. ???????
