I completely gave up on con. exclusives.

There is always some debacle over availability. None for me, thanks.

Not just availability, but because of the "exclusive" nature, they are hella-expensive when they are available.

Right! If you're an average fan, the odds are stacked against you that you'll actually get one.

You have to deal with vendors who have laid awake nights thinking of little tricks around any kind of rules or limits set on purchasing. Then you have Hasbro who will be "sold out" early on except for the 10 cases they're waiting on to come back from being AFA graded so they can sell them on HTS for hundreds of dollars. Your last ditch effort MIGHT be to log on to their site early Tuesday morning and hit the refresh button on your computer 20 times so that MAYBE you can grab one of the five that they've listed for regular price (but if you need a bathroom break, forget it)......Like I say, none for me.

(aren't I a downer )

As an alternative, I think that weekend I'll go to ebay and put a bid down on a vintage figure I don't aready own. Chances are that I'll come out with a better figure at a better price.

Hasbro is not HTS @hmmm@

How aweoms would it be if people realized that?

that "other site" has one of the destro's up and i have to say i'm EXTREMELY T'D off at hasbro right now.

This is the one design i was looking forward to from the movie and they made it an exclusive and gave it "hasbro" knees. How stupid can you get? How many of these would customizes bought at retail?

yeap it is destro in a business suit from the movie

Hasbro knees?

I think i heard Clam call them that first, Ball jointed knees. At first they didn't bother me when the 25th first debuted and scarlet had them, but having getting use to the double hinged knee, i really don't like them.

Ah, gotcha.

I'm guessing the mask is actually an interchangeable head.

Also guessing that most of this molding will show up somewhere else. It's rare for Hasbro to use all-new molding for an exclusive and then not release it elsewhere. They've done it for Star Wars once or twice, but I don't think the profits on Joe are quite to the point where they can afford to do that. Not yet, anyway.

pesatyel - 2009-04-28 @ 6:32 am

Well it shows that Destro has removable mask...maybe. There isn't any indication that the mask fits on his head.

If it does, cool, but why the hell could they give him hair, but not any of the other characters with removable helmets (ie. Troopers)?

If it doesn't, what's the point?

BrotherShane - 2009-04-28 @ 4:07 am

I'll be passing on the exclusives this year, just not that interested in either.
