The Thunderwing is a fantastic addition to the GI JOE line. It has lights, sounds, and even talks. It has the ability to know where you are holding it, or what you are doing with it, as far as flight goes. It has the ability to say:

Push it up
Switching to bombs
Bombs away
Target Destroyed
Switching to missles
Missle away
Cobra goin down
Go Tactical
Break right
Break left
Cobra bearing 225

by twisting the right afterburner you can make the missle launcher shoot, or you can drop bombs. it also allows you to look thru the afterburners, and target things on the ground for the bombs, or in front of you for the missle launcher.
