Monster Select The Creature from the Black Lagoon 7" Figure

by Jay Cochran
February 28, 2010
Sculpted by Rudy Garcia with a base sculpted by Jean St. Jean, The Creature from the Black Lagoon 7” Figure features an exclusive paint scheme, a diorama base, and a full-sized swimsuit-clad figure of the Creature’s would-be girlfriend. The Creature is sheathed in intricately scalloped scales, his webbed hands joined with thickly curved talons. The Creature from the Black Lagoon reacts defensively when its territory is trespassed by an Amazonian expedition. The last of its kind, a member of a race of amphibian humanoids, the Creature is indigenous to the murky ill-portended tributary called the Black Lagoon. The Creature’s central exploitable weakness seems to lie within its obsession in regards to the doll-like, delicately beautiful Kay Lawrence; the smitten Gill-man abducts Kay and takes her into the water, transporting her to the cavernous lair where the Creature is ultimately overwhelmed by a concentrated attack.
