Toy Fair 2013: 3.75" Mars Attacks Figures Coming From Mezco

by Jay Cochran
February 06, 2013
Fifty years ago Topps unleashed Mars Attacks on an unsuspecting card buying public. The lurid cards, which depicted an invasion of Earth by Martians in the style of the B-movies of the time, proved popular and have spawned merchandising, comic books, and a movie.

Mezco has already released a 6" tall action figure which recreates the hypercephalic invader, complete with his space helmet and ray gun.

Now they will be releasing a 3.75" versions of your favorite attacking Martians. Shown were 4 different figures, each with a different weapon. These will likely be sold as individual figures but they may end up doing some kind of multi-pack as well. You may notice one of the figures shown as articulated knees. These are prototypes and it is unclear at this time if that articulation point will make it to the final released product or not. These will be released in July 2013.

Mezco also has a 24" version in the works.
