Tanooki Mario Statue

Today, First 4 Figures is able to reveal a new deal between ourselves and Nintendo to produce a range of licensed 'Super Mario' statues. We've worked with Nintendo in the past to produce successful statues ranges for 'The Legend of Zelda' and 'Metroid' franchises, and couldn't be happier to bringing 'Super Mario' fully into our portfolio after we released a Mario 3DS holder in 2011 that left fans clamouring for a resin statue. As always, our statues will be high quality, highly collectible and unmatched by anything else. The Super Mario license is especially exciting for us. Mario has been the face of video games worldwide since his debut in the 1980s and is still just as popular today, so we've got the opportunity to bring some very special merchandise to gamers everywhere.

To start this new rage off, we would like to introduce you to Super Mario 3D Land's 'Tanooki Mario'. Tanooki Mario has always been a firm favourite with fans, while Super Mario 3D Land is credited as one of the best games on the Nintendo 3DS. From base to tip, the statue measures a total of 15" tall and is made from a high quality polystone resin, with hand-finished paintwork and detailing. A special, 'exclusive' edition of the statue will also be available in limited quantities, that includes an optional scarf accessory and a 'Super Leaf' on an iconic ?-Block base.

Tanooki Mario will be available from the first quarter of 2014. More pieces in the range will be announced in the near future.
