CollectionDX is pleased to announce our first toy - the "Gore" version Sky Deviler from Kaiju Big Battel. Produced by Marmit, Sky Deviler is made out of black soft vinyl and accentuated with red and white spray. This figure stands 11" tall and features 5 points of articulation. Sky Deviler was created by Rand Borden, and the "Gore" color scheme was designed by CollectionDX's JoshB!
Medicom as announced they will be offering an Elvis Presley 30th Anniversary Be@rbrick. The figures will be released in 100% and 400% Be@rbrick scale to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the death of Elvis Presley who died on August 16, 1977.
These figures have a streed date of Monday 31 March, 2008 and will retail for roughly 1600 JPY ($16 USD) for the 100% scale and 6000 JPY ($60 USD) for the 4000% scale.

San Francisco based Max Toy Company announces the upcoming collectible soft vinyl figure release of the Tsuburaya Productions Co. Ltd. character, Booska. Max Toy Company president, Mark Nagata is pleased to be working with Tsuburaya Productions on this special project.
Booska is a cute and lovable kaiju (“monster” in Japanese), who first appeared on Japanese television
in 1966. In the years since, Booska spawned another TV series in the 90's, as well as numerous toys and merchandise.
Max Toy Company is partnering with multi-talented artist Martin Ontiveros to create a unique version of Booska. The highly talented Kiyoka Ikeda (of the Japanese toy company Gargamel) will sculpt the Booska figure based on Martin’s design.
Max Toy Company expects to release Booska in the second quarter of 2007.

The Boston Globe has published an interesting article covering the American based Urban/Designer toy market and its growing popularity with collectors of Hip-Hop related action figures. If you are not familiar with the trend, you may have seen an influx in cool hip-hop looking soft plastic (vinyl) toys more recently.
