Thundercats: The Return.....To Toy Aisle!??!

For some time now there has been lots of speculation and questions asked if and when toys based on the hit 80's Thundercats series would be returning. With the recent boom of 80's lines returning and a new comic series, a new line of Thundercat toys almost seems a given, right?

Well as of yet no company has come forward to offically announce that they will be re-launching a line of new Thundercats toys, and though I would love to tell you I know a secret, all I have heard is just rumors and speculation, like most of you have.

However thanks to Jeff we have found this picture of what appears to be some type of sculpt for a new Mum-Ra figure, The Thundercats arch-enemy. This picture was found on Scott Andrews Sculpting Studio website under the section showing sculpts he has worked on.

Now you might be asking, just who Scott is? Well Scott is a Sculptor who has worked in the toy industry for many years, and has worked for several different companies like Hasbro, Toy vault, Resaurus, Playing Mantis and Toy State.

Now keep in mind before you start getting excited or thinking Thundercats are definatly returing, there is no indictaion what-so-ever that this sculpt shown above is for any one company or for any specific purpose. Scott may just be a huge TCats fan himself and decided to create a custom. However we thought it was pretty cool looking and would show it off to you.

We will keep digging and if/or when we find any concrete information on a return of the Thundercats toys we will be sure to pass it on to you.
