DCUC Commercial: Sometimes You Just Have To Laugh

by Jay Cochran
April 06, 2008
The folks over at AFI made up this spoof commercial as an April Fools joke. It's supposed to be a television commercial for Mattel's new line of DC Classic Universe figures. It's made to have that feel of the old 80's toy commercial you use to see on Saturday mornings. I'm not sure how many figures this ad would sell, but it did give me a chuckle.

That was good, loved it. A little off track here, but did we ever find out why they called the figure "The Element Man' instead of "Metamorpho?"

Could they not get Steve Carrell for the "40 Year Old Virgin" sequel?

Yeah, that was definitely the funniest part - a bunch of 30 year old guys playing with toys like 7 year old kids. Reminds me of me, really.
