Latino Review has posted some interesting rumors that if true would be sure to shake up the super hero world to it's core. They report that
Director/Producer Christopher Nolan has been hired by Warner Brothers to oversee all their DC Comic based movies as producer. So like with the upcoming Man of Steel movie which is being produced by Nolan and directed by
Zack Snyder, anything WB does with a DC Comic based character will have Nolan's influence attached to it.
The report goes on to say that the studio is looking for
Snyder to also direct the Justice League movie and that they want actor
Christian Bale to come back and reprise his role as Batman for it. He would be joining actor
Henry Cavill who is playing Superman in the upcoming Man of Steel movie.
Now all this sounds great, but I would recommend anyone reading this that you take this news with a huge grain of sale, especially the part about Bale and Snyder. Even if the studio is seriously considering making these moves, my guess a lot will depend on how successful the Man of Steel will be at the box office when it opens in June. If the new Superman movie bombs at the box office or even only does mediocre, then I don't see Warner Bros. putting Snyder at the helm of another big tentpole super hero movie.
I will say if Warner Bros. really wants to compete with Disney and the Avengers than getting Bale to reprise his role as Batman would be a pretty good move, but only time will tell. To see the entire report about all this check out the video below.
