Spin Master Heroes Unite & Caped Crusader 4" DC Comic Figures

by Jay Cochran
January 03, 2020
Yesterday we showed you some of the products in the works from Spin Master for DC Comics stuff which included a new line of Batman themed 4" figures titled "The Caped Crusader" which included Rebirth Batman, Gold Batman, Tactical Batman, Joker, Nightwing, Robin, Man-Bat and even a vehicle with a Batcycle that featured an alternate Batman vs Clayface figures.

Now thanks to a heads up by Ian via AmazonUK, we have a look at the first wave of non-Batman themed 4" DC figures which are titled "Heroes Unite". This wave includes Rebirth Superman, Superman (Black Costume), The Flash, Shazam and Cyborg.

If you haven't been following along, starting this year, the DC license which was previously held by Mattel was split in two. The more adult oriented collector figure portion of the license went to McFarlane Toys while the more kid oriented portion of the license went to Spin Master.

These 4" figures are said to include 3 "mystery accessories" packed in. The figures while geared towards kids do seem to be fairly well articulated.

UPDATE: Images have surfaced online showing two additional figures which will be released as Target store exclusives, King Shark and an alternate Batman.

I saw these at Target today and I kind of liked the look of them, not enough to collect them, but still for toys aimed at kids they look pretty good. If they tweaked the torso a little bit and added some articulation these would be a whole lot better.

Spin Masters continues to churn out the characters for their new DC Comics 4" line of action figures. This time with a new three pack titled "Swamp Showdown" that features variant Batman and Robin figures as well as a new Killer Croc one. Shown below is an image of the set found out in the wild via Dewey Manimal System. Thanks to tycondriusfitz for the heads up.

That looks like an Oakland Athletics Batman
