"Okay" is definitely a good description of these. Based on detail and visual "interest", I'd sooner buy the Fortnite figs McFarlane is making than these. Saw the Superman in person, and it's got a solid head sculpt (which many Supes figs have not had), and the downright weird decisions McFarlane made on the articulation don't look too bad with the blue/red suit. Haven't seen the Batman yet, but if the figs are consistent with the pics.....hard pass. Looks like a hybrid between a "real" Batman figure and one from the Animated Series, without being faithful to either. WTH happened to my beloved McFarlane. While they had little articulation, their figures were the KINGS of detail at one point (examples: Spawn figs, earlier SportsPicks, a lot of the earlier Halo stuff, etc.). Now? I'm not sure what is going on.

These figures are ok. That seems to be the general consensus. But "ok" is hardly a decent selling point. The Superman figure cant evenlift his head for a true flying pose. SERIOUSLY? This is 2020! How do you screw that up on this guy. Even the fortnite figures can tilt their heads up. And what is going on with this torso? He has virtually no ab crunch, and for what he does have, they may as well have left it off altogether. No accessories to speak of-only one fist- silly puny legs, for some bizarre reason NO double elbow even though they did it for the Batman figure. One reviewer really likes the skin tone color used for the face, but its ruined by hair that looks like it was just lacquered on (judging by the photos; maybe its not that bad in hand). And they could have used soft goods capes, but no, they stuck with plastic...but why would you not put the yellow S emblem on the cape?

This is a pass for my wallet, and the sad thing is it didn't have to be. If McFarlane wanted to do this line, he stumbled out of the gate with the two most iconic DC characters of all time. Superman deserves better than "ok".

Good review, they are definitely far from perfect, there are strange design options, but in general they are ok, the posibility seems good to me and I like the fact that the symbols are sculpted in the chest instead of just being stamped. And they scale good with Essentials, maybe I should pick some to go as placeholders, especially for Harley.
