The DC Multiverse 7" Shriek figure which is the second figure in the Batman Beyond Jokerbot Collect-And-Connect Target exclusive wave is up for pre-order now. It is listed with a May 16 release date.

Walter Shreeve was a skilled audio engineer living in Neo-Gotham, trying to fund his research in the field of sonics. Unable to do so, Shreeve used his highly advanced sound technology to build an armored suit capable of demolishing buildings with sonic blasts. Going by the name Shriek, he was soon hired to destroy Batman and nearly succeeded, but lost his hearing in the ensuing battle. He was then sent to Blackgate Penitentiary where he was able to continue his research behind bars. Since then, Shriek has managed to break out on occasion, each time seeking revenge against Batman and wreaking havoc on the citizens of Neo-Gotham!

The other 3 figures in the wave needed to complete the Jokerbot include:

-Batman Beyond
-Batwoman Beyond
-Blight

Batman Beyond was the first figure that went up for pre-order. The Batwoman Beyond and Blight figures will go up for pre-order at a later time. The four figures will see a staggered release over the course of the year with the final figure being released by October.

Also looks like there is a version being offered without the Jokerbot piece which is cheaper. You can see that one here. Unknown if that figure will be a general relase, but likely will.

This lame predatory tactic is killing my desire to collect McFarlane. They are already wonky scale with each other and limited articulation. Now just for a different head he wants another $25? AND a game of exclusive grab a$$ to even find it? Yeah, Im done. Too many other cool brands to buy.

Different head AND a build-a-figure piece...and one fewer sonic wave accessory, but it's a different shape than the two included with the $20 figure, which are round. ?Pretty douchey. I'm trying to recall if any other companies have charged more for figures including the BAF pieces than the ones that weren't. @JayC, ya got anything there, or does this sound like a first to you, too?

Ooof, Mcfarlane really doesnt like including fun extras with his figures and just wants to sell them as a whole other figure. Maybe Im just spoiled by marvel legends and other figures these days that I love having options instead of buying a whole other figure to get that extra look. I do remember days of yesteryear where "chase" figures were a thing and were only alt looks for the same figures.. but again, alot of companies give accessories, alt hands and heads in their original one shot figures. Not a fan of this. "no sir, dont like it, not one bit"

Why shell one figure with a bunch of acksheshoreesh, when you can shell two shlightly different figuresh?

So who will get the exclusive unmasked Batman Beyond figure? Since we all know that Todd will reuse that body mold again....

SpiderS - 2021-03-23 @ 11:39 pm

It's pretty good head sculpt but seems little too riskyfor character that is mostly wanted in his full on costume.

Satam - 2021-03-23 @ 10:26 pm

Wait, it's only unmasked? WTF?

You may recall last week how the DC Multiverse 7" Batman Beyond Shriek figure went up for pre-order on Target's website. This would be the previously announced Target exclusive that includes a Batbot Build-A-Figure piece and is one of four figures in the Target exclusive Batman Beyond wave.Surprisingly that same day Target listed a second non exclusive version. At the time the only difference appeared to be a cheaper price and a lack of the Build-A-Figure piece. This figure had not been previously announced by McFarlane Toys, and in fact they still haven't officially done so.

Never-the-less Target seems to have gotten updated images for the non-exclusive version of Shriek which shows the biggest difference between it and the Target exclusive version is that it will have an unmasked headsculpt.Check out the new updated images for the non-target exclusive unmasked Shriek figure below. It is available still for pre-order on the Target website, though again this one will NOT BE a Target exclusive.

Head still looks a bit small, but I pre-ordered Shriek anyway. Went with the cheaper version. Kinda weird that it apparently comes out two months later, but whatever. Todd's weird, and Target's been doing some odd %$#@ too, lately. Had a $10 credit, too, so, I'm cool waiting.

Also I've put together some nice customs with these great sculpts and modular construction of the McF Multiverse figs so I have to applaud McFarlane for how well hes done getting the lines out fast and the quality of the sculpts...now how about a BvS Batman after the Snyder cut figs?
